Everything you need to know about your Royal Gorge adventure. Can't find your answer? Contact us.
Our basecamp is at 45045 W US Hwy 50, Canon City, CO 81212. We're located between Canon City and the Royal Gorge Bridge on Highway 50, about 45 minutes from Colorado Springs and 2 hours from Denver.
Get DirectionsDuring rafting season (April 15 through October 15), we're open 7 AM to 7 PM. From September 1 2026 we are closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Off-season hours vary -- call us at (719) 275-7238 for current availability.
We recommend booking at least 1-2 weeks in advance during peak season (June-August). Popular trips like the Royal Gorge and All Day Rafting and weekend departures fill up fast. Off-peak months like May and September typically have more availability.
View TripsYes! Gift cards are available in any amount. Call us at (719) 275-7238 to purchase. They make a great gift for birthdays, holidays, or special occasions.
Contact UsNot at all! Our Bighorn Sheep Canyon trip (Class II-III, ages 6+, or 8+ at high water) is designed for first-timers and families. Your guide handles the navigation -- you just paddle when they tell you to and enjoy the ride. For the Royal Gorge (Class III-V) and All Day Rafting trips (Class II-V), the minimum age is 13, or 16 in high water, and they are best for those comfortable with more intense rapids.

Up to 3 passengers per flight. Pricing is per flight, not per person, so it's a great value for couples and small groups.
Safety is our top priority. If weather conditions prevent a safe flight, we'll reschedule your flight at no additional charge.
There are no minimum age restrictions for helicopter tours. Children under 2 can ride on a parent's lap. All passengers must be able to wear a seatbelt.
Two options. Standard: we require 10 days advance notice, the cancellation fee is $15.00 per person, and the rest of your deposit is refunded. Groups of 12 or more need 30 days notice, and inside 30 days a group cancellation is not refundable. Trip Assurance, which you can add when you book, refunds 100% less the 10% non-refundable plan fee and lets you cancel up to 1 pm Colorado Mountain time the day before. No-shows and late arrivals are not eligible for refunds. A one-time date change within the same year may be allowed subject to availability, with a $10.00 per person change fee. We make exceptions to either policy for accidents, documented illness and other genuine emergencies.
We raft rain or shine! Rafting in the rain can actually be a blast. We only cancel trips for safety reasons (dangerous lightning, extreme water levels). If we cancel, you'll receive a full refund or free reschedule.
